Letters To Robert

Over the Years many of our guests have paid homage to Robert the Doll, bringing him tokens of their affection while others write him letters of apology and of praise.

Here’s a few.

"I would also like to apologize not asking permission, I did say thank you though! No disrespect was meant & I do apologize. Take care Robert!!
Laura "

Dear Robert,
"My name is Andrew. I am a 17 year old boy. I’d like to ask you a few questions.
Have you met a Poltergeist?
Have you done any good deeds before or has anyone done good deeds in front of you?
How does it feel knowing that some people are scared of you?
How do you communicate with people in person?
Has anyone ever called you a “Secret Weapon” before?
Don’t worry, I’m not trying to compete with you or anything! "

Dear Robert,
"we read a lot of the stories about you and saw some of the pictures too. We were deeply fascinated by your story, you seem like such a mischevious person. We are troublemakers ourselves! We wish we could meet you, but you live so far away. Maybe some time we will take a vacation and visit you, you seem like you would be an interesting person to meet. We wish you luck on your adventures, and hope you can keep the museum under control, we know you are their favorite."
Hope to meet you soon,
Shelby & Madison
Sacramento, CA

"I just wanted to let you know that I, unlike my friends, have total respect for you. When I questioned your powers last Fall, I missed my flight from Miami and nearly missed an important court date.
This weekend when I related my tragic tale to my friends, they openly questioned whether you even existed, much less your powers of revenge.
Well, the next day one of them had a flight tire and the others were trapped in traffic on Interstate 90. Perhaps now they understand. I fervently hope they will cease their mockery. Maybe even some will venture to your wonderful home and pay you a friendly visit.
In the meantime, let me just say that I appreciate your attenuation of Tropical Storm Fay and hope that the other denizens of Key West are appropriately grateful."
P.S. Please say hello to Elena for me.

Dear Robert,

"You are an inspiration. You are my hero. I have created my own Robert the doll and he watches TV with me in my chair at night.
My wife and children do not understand me. My Robert the Doll is the only one who listens. I don't know what I would do without Robert the Doll."
Your friend,
