Robert Not Just Another Ghost Story!

Most sincere Robert,
Last summer (July 2009) my family and I traveled to Key West Florida. Upon arriving I learned of you and your story. I was a strong believer in "there ain't no such things as ghosts," so when I first heard your story I took it as another ghost story. This couldn't have been more wrong/
On our last day we visited you. (Due to your close proximity to the airport) My two younger siblings (ages 13 and 9 at the time) warned me not to take a picture without permission or mock you. Being a strong Christian, I dismissed their banter as child's play.
We left you that day and flew back home to Hartselle, Alabama. However, when I arrived my girlfriend and I had some minor problems. She told me all week that she could not wait for me to get home, but when I saw her she seemed uneasy. Just a week later she ended our 2 1/2 year relationship. Then less than a month later she began dating a pot-head who was anything but her type.
At the same time my football team was starting fall camp. (I was a senior in High School) The starting position I had held all summer was temporarily filled in while I was in Key West. The switch became permanent, and I never started at that position.
When summer gave way to fall, my ex-girlfriend (who was still my best friend) started to get very upset with me. By mid September we were no longer friends. I entered a state of depression and became suicidal. Thankfully I chose not to commit the act.
September became October which led to November and now December. The months blurred by as I watched my senior year crumbles. Now looking back I remember my last good memories, our Key West Trip. I realize that since the day I met Robert, my life has gone downhill.

I say all this to say to you Robert, I am sorry. Please accept my most sincere apologies. I respect you for whatever you may be. I am truly sorry for the pictures I took without permission and the mockery I made of you. Please lift your curse from me.

My friend, “J” and I visited you last year. She was laughing at you and I yelled at her for doing so, yet she continued. Looking back on that visit a year ago now explains

the insanity that our families have been living since we last saw you in the Keys. Our lives have been unacceptably crazy. Between a law suit, divorce, a bit of cancer,

several moves and a job loss, I would like to respectfully ask you to forgive “J” and me for making fun of you.



By looking at your website, I can tell you give a lot of joy to the people who take you serious. I promise that my friend, “J” and I will do the same for now on.

Dear Robert,
we read a lot of the stories about you and saw some of the pictures too. We were deeply fascinated by your story, you seem like such a mischevious person. We are troublemakers ourselves! We wish we could meet you, but you live so far away. Maybe some time we will take a vacation and visit you, you seem like you would be an interesting person to meet.
